LAB Medical Tech (MT) Millennium Physician Group Full Time (Monday-Friday 12pm-8pm) 1065 N Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time / Lab Medical Technologist (or Clinical Laboratory Scientist) to join the Lab team. We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, well-organized, has the ability to multi-task, and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience! As a Lab Medical Tech you will Coordinate and participate in the performance and interpretation of complex technical duties in support of medical laboratory testing and record determinations and results for review by laboratory management and physician/caregiver staff. It will be part of your responsibility to evaluate collected laboratory data and prepare reports assessing accuracy, completeness, timeliness, progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Required Knowledge and Experience Required: Bachelor ' s Degree in Medical Technology or a related field. Ability to demonstrate required dexterity, knowledge, and ability to complete assigned laboratory tasks and skills, attention to detail and compliance with all appropriate regulatory and safety requirements. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Clinical Laboratory Technician State License required. Certification as a Medical Technologist by a nationally recognized board/agency required. Required Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Athena/LIS Database software, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to be standing, walking, grasping, carrying and speaking; Occasional sitting, reaching, bending and stooping; Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed; Frequent use of computer, keyboard, copy and fax machine and phone.
